The Eve of Destruction

Yeah, that sounds kind of OMINOUS! But I do work with Barry McGuire pretty frequently and we always have to sing a line or two of the 1965 song from the late singer with the same name! It’s got NOTHING to do with Craftsman products which most everyone knows kicks ass but hey, Barry is my producer and Houston Howell is the genius who first hired me as their spokesman. I will forever be beholden!! Always a hoot working with these guys!

Sessions with these guys are like a Luau BABY!

Susie Kim and Piku Ghosh are living a charmed life in Hawaii. They taunt and tease me with work for McDonald’s from their home at MVNP on the big island! But one of these days I’ll get back there, and we’ll party like it’s 2099!! Big shout out to their audio engineer Sean and to Ian Scott at CRC Chicago for sitting at the board and hooking us up via ISDN!

Demo Work

Worked with…wait a minute. It’s hard to call what I do work because I love doin’ it so much. But I can’t bring myself to say I played with… Nealie DiPaolo & Greg Lilly and some guy named Marco 🙂 from McGarry Bowen on some demo work this past summer. I got paid, so technically it IS work! Thanks guys!

Solemn Craftsman Salute

Knocked out a tagline earlier this week for Craftsman Tools that honors our Service Men & Women at Evoke Studios in Elgin! Thanks to Houston Howell, Barry McGuire &  Rob Dolan for Producing, writing and Engineering! Also, a BIG SHOUT OUT to Barry who LOVES to see his name in print!

Mr Monopoly in a Casino near you!

Just had another session with the gang at WMS Gaming for a new Mr Monopoly Video game. Monopoly Money tested really well from the demos and after a few tweaks today it’s now ready to replace one of the older Mr Monopoly games in Casinos throughout the world. A shout out to Howard Pfeifer my audio engineer & creative writer Daniel Louie!

Boss Season 1 Montage

I will not allow my grandchildren to see this until they’re in their 40’s. I play a VERY bad man. I was known simply as ‘The Grey Haired Man’ until season 2 when my identity was revealed. The Kelsey Grammar series lasted only 2 seasons. But it was a great show and so much fun to be working with so many fine actors!

DJP FUSION 5/23/15

Another ‘almost’ acoustic show at THE  hottest new club in Kenosha, Wisconsin. What makes this intimate venue so great is it’s owner Don Miller, a fellow musician! Acoustically perfect, great sight lines, state of the art Sound and it doubles as an Art Gallery! Plus your favorite libations, it doesn’t get any better than this! We’re excited to be joined by the Internationally recognized Kalyan “Johnny Bongo” Pathak on Percussion!

More McDonald’s in Hawaii

New agency crush! MVNP in Honolulu handles the McDonalds account for the Islands and if only I could convince them to FLY me there for sessions! Since the national What It Is campaign I’ve had the pleasure of working with their creatives. Monday 5/4 at CRC with Ian Scott handling the patch I did more radio for the Sirloin Third Pound Burger! No voice of God this time, a more introspective, suave read. Or as the copy called for, a mouthwatering voice! Hey I’m Gumby and happy to be their audio slave! Shout out to Pikoo, Jenny and their Engineer Sean! And to Susie Kim for helping to get it all started!!
